Ilhan Irem was born in 1955 in Bursa. He entered the world of music as a composer, lyricist and performer in 1973 with his first 45, "Birlessin Bütün Eller (Let all hands come together) - Bazen Nese Bazen Keder (Sometimes joy, sometimes sorrow)" His 1974 album including the song "Yazik Oldu Yarinlara" (We'll regret it forever), included here, was a major hit.
NÜKHET DURU was born in Istanbul in 1954. She began singing at the age of fifteen, and recorded her first 45, "Aklimda Sen" (You on my mind) in 1974. She went on to make a big hit with her song "Beni Benimle Birak Giderken," (Leave me with me when you go), written together with Mehmet Teoman and Cenk Taskan.
